Ngon Cafe Burnaby

I recently searched for a new spot for banh mi and decided to try this location for the first time. Parking is tough at the other Kingsway location, so I was excited to find this alternative. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The staff member who took my order was exceptionally efficient, friendly, and professional—qualities that are hard to come by in the food industry these days. The banh mi was delicious with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly. Truly a standout experience! Keep up the fantastic work!

Love the coffee here. Highly recommend BBQ pork Banh Mi, Salted Cream Coffee and Coconut Coffee . I’ve been a fan of Ngon cafe in Vancouver location. Now it’s so convenient with this Burnaby location. And I can have their coffee everyday

I was in the area and decided to stop by for a quick afternoon coffee since I remembered really enjoying their coconut coffee last time. Dev, shared the stores current promotions with us and we ended up trying the 4 items on the menu! The #1 House Special Banh Mi is bursting with flavours and is easily the best banh mi I’ve ever tried in Vancouver if you’re looking to try something different. We also tried the Coconut dessert (which was on promo for 50% off), the Black Milk Tea (free with our purchase, including 15% off our order), and the wonderful owner Taylor also gave us a free Coconut Coffee Frappe that he made an extra of!! All the drinks, desserts, and banh mi were SUPERB! Thank you Taylor and Dev for providing us with an exceptional experience and this has become one of my favourite quick stops for a nice lunch. We’ll be back regularly :)

Absolutely baller sandwich. Got the 4. Bbq extra spicy. Got a strawberry lemonade complementary; super cool If you’re not a fan of mayo, recommend no mayo or light; as previous times I’ve gone here and Nanaimo spot it’s too heavy for my taste.

I’ve been here a few times since they’ve opened and have really enjoyed their fresh Banhmi and viet coffee, especially the coco coffee frappe! The bread is nice and fresh, crispy and chewy! And the flavours of the grilled beef and lemongrass chicken are my favourite!!

Even more than I expected, the subs and drinks are really delicious. I and my friends will definitely come back. I recommend the BBQ pork sub and the coco coffee, 10/10 for this visit.

Note that there is currently a contest where you must give 5 stars to be eligible to participate. Hence the high proportion of reviews currently, the contest ends September 5th. I have visited this location 3 times now (twice on the weekdays and once on the weekend) shortly after they opened for the morning. There's usually never a long wait on the weekday but expect to wait 20-30 minutes on the weekends around 10:30AM. Although that's what they quoted I waited 45 minutes for my 2 Banh Mi's and 2 Iced Teas (ordered at 10:37AM, received 11:23AM). I understand they are a new operation and on this day that I visited, they were experiencing IT issues, but it's clear that there are significant improvements to be made to the operations to streamline order processing. Now onto my review, I've had the pleasure of trying 6 out of their 8 Banh Mi's already, and I am in love. Normally, I would not add hot sauce to my food for flavor but going for their house made mild hot sauce makes a difference. I'm not sure why, but most of the hot sauce is near the end of the sandwich, I find that perfect. The ingredients are all fresh, and I love how soft but crisp the bread is! If you were to ask me for Banh Mi Recommendations, I would say you should go for the Cold Cut, the Pate is amazing. You can't go wrong with the BBQ Pork or BBQ Beef; both are amazingly juicy and flavorful. As for the Teas, although I did not ask for any modification for any of them, I found the sweetness to be at the perfect level. For those of you who read all the way to the end, I want to let you know that they are currently offering 25% off your total order until Friday September 6th. It is only because of this discount that I have been coming here so often. Although I would recommend their Banh Mi's over the ones from Ha Cafe, I don't feel comfortable paying full price for them.

I was excited to try the new location and overall everything was great. Delicious bánh mì and I really enjoy their drinks&desserts too. PSA they don’t have the coconut dessert for now but in the future they will have it (one of the employees told me this). However, the quantity will be limited. Recommended items: - Ngon Special - Grilled Beef - Coco Coffee Frappe (it do need 5-10 mins to make this drink so order sth else if you’re in a rush)
